Network. Surround your plants with netting much like you would to prevent birds from eating the berries.
Chicken Wire – Build a chicken wire tent around small plants or enclose your entire yard with wire.

Gravel – Gravel on the bed (similar to what you would use on a gravel path) can put them off as they don’t like walking on it.
Aluminum Foil – Place aluminum foil around the bottom of plants and flower pots. The bright light from the stalks scares the squirrels and they don’t like walking on the stalks. However, this product can be a bit cheaper if you use it for the whole garden.
Don’t buy fake cat silhouettes or fox decoys to put in the yard to scare them away.
Spicy stuff like my squirrel painkiller above. You can also grind up some chili flakes and spread them around the base of the plant.
