I wonder how well it works. No more smell and mess of store bought bug spray.
The only downside I can see so far is that you have to apply it a bit more than a traditional store spray, but it’s not enough to put me off.
I knew I wanted to do a natural version. Now, you can use herbs if you want, but it seems easier to put a cap in a small jar of oil and skip the growing, harvesting, and boiling that goes into using fresh herbs.
Also, I didn’t want to use too many ingredients, so I basically left out 2 essential oils, water, and witch hazel.
Homemade Mosquito Repellent Sprays That Work Best
Witch hazel helps to mix oil and water (or “emulsify” if I want to put my college chemistry to work). Some people use rubbing alcohol instead of witch hazel, which has the same idea, only it’s stronger when sprinkled on the cut.
