Teenage Bedroom Decorating Ideas On A Budget

Teenage Bedroom Decorating Ideas On A Budget – I’m so excited to share this amazing toddler bedroom makeover that I just finished. I’ll give you tips on how to create a beautiful, timeless room that will last well into college days for your toddler. And all within a budget!

It’s no secret that designing fun kids’ rooms is at the top of my favorite makeover list. It started years ago when I was young. My mom used to joke, “I can never punish you and send you to your room because you love to spend time there” It was true…I left my room and redid the whole room! lol After all these years I still enjoy moving furniture and creating beautiful spaces.

Here is a photo of my client’s daughter’s room from a few months ago. Bella’s mom mentions that she grew up with pink walls and cute accessories and set out to renovate a teenage bedroom. The process went like this.

I’ve already mentioned that paint is the most cost-effective way to make the most impact when changing the look of a room. The pink walls are painted in a beautiful light silver gray color. Bella wanted a cream class so I chose Sherwin Williams Rock Candy SW6231. The new color will instantly give your space a more stylish look! Light color allows us to find any shade we want. These neutral walls are ready when Bella decides to change the linens and / or accessories.

Not everyone knows what the finished room should look like. I love creating mood boards for my clients to see how each piece fits into the overall look of the space. It doesn’t have to be a fancy graphic like the one below. Simply cut out images from magazines and/or catalogs, or create your own Pinterest board. Click here to follow my Pinterest projects.

Here we feature Bella’s classic white sleigh bed, desk and nightstand. The classic bright white color and timeless styling allowed us to adapt to any look while staying within a teenage bedroom budget.

Whether it’s your favorite bedding, artwork, accent pillow, or inspirational quote, it can help to find a piece that speaks to you as a starting point. Bella fell in love with this Society 6 Sea Bliss wallpaper. This is an aerial view of turquoise waves crashing on Red Beach. It was perfect color inspiration and boy did I run with it!

When designing the rooms, I balance the color ratios in a loose ratio of 70:20:10. 70% of the colors in Bella’s class are blue-gray. Then came 20% pink and finally gold accents. Using this ratio often creates a pleasant color palette, which can be easily changed later.

We decorated Bella’s bed with a beautiful quilted Pie 1 duvet cover called the Savannah Celestial Comforter Set. Then a gorgeous pink faux fur throw blanket, a stunning gold lip pillow and other fun pillows.

As I mentioned before, rooms are usually square. I always mix things up and break up the static of a square space by adding round pieces. The curves of the Bella Sligh bed are complemented by a beautiful round jeweled star mirror. We created a stunning eye-catcher in the center above her bed.

On the wall to the left of her bed is a large tapestry of Sea Pleasures by Ingrid Beddoes Photography, which I mentioned earlier in the post. This acts as the largest piece of art in the room. The whole wall needs nothing more than the plate and two wonderful golden metal bows.

Combine small and large with color and texture, as well as 2D and 3D art. I followed the arrow and made a pretty sign where it led.

If you think this photo mat is cute, check out Community 6. This is a website that thousands of artists use to sell their artwork. You can find any artwork you want and apply it to hundreds of things. I often find lots of inspiration on their website. If you want to know more about the shower curtain that started my daughter’s bathroom renovation.

On the opposite wall, we will reuse the four-panel white mirror that he had. People often think that they need new furniture for the whole room to get a new look. It’s not true! I love reusing a client’s existing pieces and giving them a new look like Bella’s toddler room.

Decorating On A Small Budget

Sometimes the furniture or decoration does not match the new design. Reusing it in another room, relocating it to the attic, or even donating it are some great solutions. Bella’s mother felt her closets were over-organized and poorly organized and a new dresser with lots of drawers was more useful. This was the only piece of furniture that was replaced with a new dresser. This gave Bella more space to display picture frames and jewelry and store all her essentials. We added a water green chair. Without a long and large wardrobe, the room will appear visually larger and more attractive when entering it.

We found a turquoise accent chair at TJ Maxx, a gold and turquoise table lamp at HomeGoods, artwork, picture frames, and delicate turquoise curtains. We replaced the silver curtain rods with gold plated end rods.

You don’t have to hide everything in doors and drawers. There are so many beautiful storage options. Look for rustic baskets, attractive stacking and under-bed storage boxes, and fun, functional wall and floor shelves. You may recognize this white and gold narrow shelf from my daughter’s bathroom. This satisfied Bella’s desire for more elegant open storage. We split the shelves and put one to the left of Bella’s dresser where we keep beauty products and hair accessories. We have uploaded that

Earlier, Bella used her desk for crafting. As soon as you walked into the room, he was there and became the gathering place for everything and everyone. On the other side of her bed we put it as a bedside table, laptop desk and vanity.

With a gold table lamp, beautiful mirrored storage boxes and makeup organizers, a gold and white trash can, inspiring artwork, and a stunning wall clock with removable stickers, this space has become Bella’s cozy little multipurpose hub. This wonderful corner has many uses!

Bella finished her teenage years before she got to school. Bella loving her new room was music to my ears! Her mother still says her room is always clean and Bella is proud to show her friends. Success!
