Planning A Disney World Vacation By The Numbers

1 | Initial Price Survey | When planning a budget-friendly trip to Walt Disney World, timing is everything. Especially when deciding the best time to go to Disney World! The average family vacation to Disney World costs between $4,000 and $10,000. This does not include other tours around the Sunshine State that would be a shame to miss. Within walking distance of the park are hundreds of exciting shops, attractions and restaurants that will enhance your Orlando adventure.

Your best way to visit Disney on a budget is to compare prices as early as possible. Consider the cost of staying at a property with free transportation to and from the park. Then consider visiting Disney World in the off-season or at least during peak hours to save on hotel and parking ticket prices. Also consider choosing a rental car to get to Orlando International Airport and save on transportation costs. Both have advantages and disadvantages, depending on your needs and desires. You need to do what makes the most sense for you and your family. Learn about the ins and outs of theme park reservations as well to learn all the steps involved in planning your Disney adventure.

Pro tip: Walt Disney World now requires a park pass reservation to enter the park on a given day. You must log into the My Disney Experience app or the Disney website and sync your ticket and/or season pass. There is a calendar showing the park’s availability for each day. You must reserve a park pass for one park, but after After 14.00 you can jump to park at another park if your annual pass or ticket has a park hopper option attached.

2 | Break your journey | You don’t have to spend every minute of your vacation at a Disney park. As amazing as it is, it’s not your only option for fun and adventure in sunny Orlando! For example, Disney Springs is free to enter and has many shopping, dining and entertainment experiences. Plus, you’ll still have some of that Disney magic because it’s on property.

Disney Vacation Tips And Advice

Staying at an off-site hotel or resort allows you to enjoy many activities at no extra cost. Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa and Westgate Vacation Villas Resort have water parks, pools, spas, fireside lounges and some great and affordable dining options. With the right hotel, you can have fun without leaving the resort for a day.

3| Plan Leisure There are many ways to enjoy Orlando without breaking the bank. Spend the morning sleeping in, then relax by the pool or head to the beach to relax in the sun. Just one day off from an adventure around Disney can save you hundreds of dollars. After hours of standing in long lines and exploring theme parks, your feet will thank you.

4| Visit the Parks Every Day Disney’s Park Hopper Pass gives you access to four Disney theme parks in one day for $174 per person. While this may seem like a good deal, it can actually hinder your overall experience.

Instead of enjoying the fun and enjoying your surroundings, you’ll feel like there’s never enough time between attractions, long lines, and on to the next park on your tour. Park funnel tickets may cost extra, so consider choosing one park per day. Single park tickets cost less than the Park Hopper options, averaging $109 for guests 10 and older.

Disney Tips: How To Plan The Best Trip To Walt Disney World

Another tip on how to get cheap Disney World tickets is to buy multi-day tickets. The more days you visit the park, the cheaper the daily ticket. You can also consider getting an annual pass for at least one family member, which can be cheaper on park tickets and discounts on food and merchandise.
