How To Keep Squirrels Out Of Pecan Trees – Recently, many producers have made claims about removing the bark from their trees. This often occurs with soft sheathed legs and arms or with a center conductor 3 inches in diameter or less. The culprit here is a flying squirrel. Squirrels Are Nuts
The UGA pecan team provides timely information related to pecan production in Georgia. Keeping crows away from pecan trees is always a challenge for county agents and pecan growers. Squirrels are smart and persistent. Therefore, they are not afraid or disturbed easily. In many areas, most females are protected from predators or poison. Some areas allow the capture or killing of eastern tree squirrels without a permit. But check with your local Fish and Game Department or similar agency. Always ask permission before catching a squirrel.

But one day last week a squirrel climbed up on the top branch of one of our pine trees and proudly displayed the love fruit he found.
