We meet with clients and together we come up with ideas, discuss key tasks and create a budget. The location was far superior so we had to plan things accordingly. To get a bigger shower, they were okay with removing the rarely used jacuzzi tub. We wanted to have a “show stopper” shower in the room!

With notes in hand, we returned to our office and began the work of making a plan. We create a new PLAN, then select MATERIALS for the room. Our goal was to combine a simple farmhouse look with clean lines to create a modern spa feel. The farmhouse furniture we brought in includes naturally stained cabinets, stained glass windows, black metal mirrors, black tile look tiles and long subway stone tiles.
My favorite are the penny rounds used in the shower, the jeweled glasses and the ice cream paper.
After selecting fixtures, lighting design, and selecting plumbing fixtures, we create wall heights for the remodeled bathroom. We like to create a complete picture for the owners, so we use pictures and show examples of building materials and furniture. After that, we packed all our samples and finished the design drawings, and went to our customers to present them all. Productivity conferences are the best!
Our customers have accepted the plan! We made a construction plan and ordered all the construction materials! It was important to have all those tools as soon as our team started working, so there were no delays in completing the project. We know how difficult any construction project can be.

When you think of HGTV, you probably think of “modern country house,” but the look goes beyond what you’ll find on home improvement shows. Modern farmhouse style is all about creating a warm and cozy space that feels updated and modern without looking too modern. Often based on other design styles such as minimalist and Scandinavian, the modern farmhouse bathroom is above all calming and soothing.
While there are many ways to incorporate a modern farmhouse look into your bathroom, there are a few key points that tend to drive this trend. From rustic and reclaimed wood to vintage accents, attention to detail is key to this world-renowned aesthetic.

We rounded up our favorite modern farmhouse bathrooms and asked some experts for tips and tricks to work with the style.
Although the features of the modern country house may seem small, this style of decoration is certainly its look. According to Cheri Lingafelt, founder of Accent Prone, “A modern farmhouse looks more clean and modern than rustic.”
It’s important to incorporate small or modern details into your space to avoid farmhouse elements that feel too rustic.
A fun way to incorporate a little farmhouse style into a modern bathroom? “Add a running barn door,” says Lingafelt. Not only can this give you more square footage to work with, perfect for a small space, but it can add the visual interest you need to take a bathroom to the next level.

Jade Joyner, co-founder of Metal + Petal, evokes a modern farmhouse look in her spaces with a focus on clean, simple touches. “Farmhouse bathrooms are known for installing matte black fixtures and white subway tile, especially Chip and Joanna,” Joyner says.
Don’t be afraid to add a touch of nostalgia, suggests Joyner. Country-inspired details can look modern when paired with clean accents.
While many modern cottages stick to neutral colors and simple fabrics, Joyner says she likes to mix and match decorative elements when working with modern cottages.
“I like to push a farmhouse bathroom, because it’s usually a solid color, to make it a little more dynamic with a modern color on the walls or on the main wall,” he says. “No one wants their house to look like their neighbor’s. Embrace the trend, but make it your own.” Add a fun tile or a bold rug to bring it home.
Timeless Farmhouse Bathroom Ideas
Joyner’s best tip for homeowners decorating with this look? “Don’t go for a farmhouse or see-through theme, as this can leave the space flat,” she says, picked up in a bold piece of modern art.
For a while, it seemed like the owners were moving away from the brown wood vanity in favor of a clean, white look. But Candace Poltz, principal designer and founder of Candace Plotz Design, says it’s time to bring them back.
“Within the design industry, we’re seeing a wood renaissance,” says Poltz. “If you’re looking to add a touch of spice and warmth to what can be a cold space, white oak is a great choice for a vanity.”
Textiles are a great way to add a warm and cozy atmosphere to your bathroom. Here, a blanket is used to display Turkish towels that add light to the structure and act as visual interest at the same time.

Choosing a farmhouse bathroom doesn’t mean giving up on fun, patterned tiles. Instead, consider keeping it subtle and adding a small tile to brighten up the space without removing the room’s neutral elements.
In the design world, people either love or hate shipping. But, we think shiplap can get a bad rap. When combined with other modern elements, shiplap is a great way to add a lot of style to your bathroom without taking up space or feeling too fancy.
Lindsey Borchard of Lindsey Brooke Design helped her clients renovate their basement bathroom in a new farmhouse style.
“We wanted to make sure this bathroom has modern farmhouse amenities, but also stays true to being vintage and timeless,” she said. “We did this by using lots of white in different colors and patterns and adding warm wood tones to soften the space and give it a country house feel.”
Modern Farmhouse Bathroom Design
One of the easiest ways to give your home a modern farmhouse feel is through accessories. A beautiful vintage glass or pitcher is a great and easy way to add a rustic touch to your bathroom without breaking the bank.
From wood to marble to concrete, modern bathrooms are natural materials. Ditch the man-made stuff and fill your space with warm words that are sweet and will last for years to come.
Finding storage space in any bathroom can be a challenge, but if you want to add a little space for your valuables, consider wooden floating shelves. This provides more space for the toilet while giving the bathroom a modern look.
In some places, black and gold can feel nice and simple. But in a modern farmhouse bathroom, it offers a simple, classic look that blends traditional and modern styles.

A modern bathroom can certainly have color, but if you want to keep it warm and simple, consider choosing neutral tones. Here, different shades of white and gray come together to create enough interest so the bathroom doesn’t look flat or boring, but still gives it a nice modern farmhouse feel.
If you’re renovating a bathroom and debating between a claw-foot shower and a tub, consider the classic claw-foot. There’s something mysterious and fascinating about a large clawfoot tub that makes such a statement in any bathroom.
Are you thinking of wallpapering your bathroom? Don’t be afraid to add wallpaper to a modern country house. Choose a simple one with neutral colors and a subtle pattern for a touch of visual interest that still feels vintage.
Instead of a vanity and a cabinet, get an open look. Rustic gold piping is exposed here to give the space a vintage feel and add a lot of interest to the space. This is a great idea for powder rooms where you don’t need to hide a lot of stuff under the sink.

Another way to take a simple bathroom and give it a modern farmhouse look is to replace your sink and vanity with a metal sink.
