Apartment Patio Decorating Ideas On A Budget – Last summer I shared this post with inspiration for decorating a small outdoor balcony and I open it here with my apartment balcony! To be honest, I finished decorating my balcony at the end of last summer. However, it wasn’t very relevant to share at the time, so I thought I’d save the find for this year.
First, let me say that I’m also grateful to have my own space in 2020. When I rented my first apartment in 2013, the balcony wasn’t an “extra” for me. Listing However, I upgraded to one with a balcony. So when I was looking to buy an apartment myself, it ended up on my must-have list. I moved into my apartment in November (not ideal terrace weather). I also didn’t get the opportunity to start decorating the site until next summer. But since it’s taken me almost a year to decide what I want to do, let’s take some time to enjoy it.

I want it to offer some protection but (of course) also be comfortable, practical and beautiful. It was immediately clear to me that I didn’t want a traditional table and chairs, but that it needed to be an open living room. When he found the palm patterned carpet, it set the tone for the whole area. The others gathered quickly. I had my eye on the chairs for a while but wanted to see them for myself before buying and was not disappointed! It also comes in a two-seater version at a good price if you are interested in seats or spare parts. Then I slowly filled the space with tables, lights and planters.

The final challenge was to find a functional, roomy and unobtrusive storage unit! Luckily after months of searching I found one that ticked all the boxes and I couldn’t be happier. It fits neatly into the corner and doesn’t scream “plastic protection” which I appreciate!
As I say with other places in my house, it doesn’t have to be “full”. I would like to grow more plants. 2020 has definitely made me a plant lady and I don’t hate it. Also, I want to cover the rest of the exposed floor with 2 smaller natural jute rugs. I would also like to have some kind of bench. Perhaps a small chair would be closer to the window. I still have a great place there and since I spend most of the summer with my friends on the balcony I wish I had another place!
A few years ago I bought some balcony decorations for my apartment. Some items are sold out, I thought I’d add some items to buy too!

Balcony Decoration And Design Ideas For An Outdoor Oasis
We totally understand: Minimalism isn’t for everyone. But sometimes the adage “less is more” applies. Too many decorations in a small space can look messy. Instead, try adding a single focal point, like a park bench, and a coordinating color or two.
There is a special symbol for the input tree. However, you don’t have to give up your device for space reasons. There are plenty of single seater and cantilever balcony swings out there, perfect for nesting in small spaces. If the rent doesn’t allow you to go outside, you can use a freestanding Egg Chair instead.
To be honest, there are probably very few activities to do on your own little balcony. You may spend a few minutes sipping coffee or enjoying the sunset, but reading a book is a classic balcony activity. So why not turn your accommodation into a place to learn? The key here is finding an accent chair that’s large enough to sit comfortably, but small enough not to overwhelm the space.
When it comes to small spaces, the biggest mistake we make is forgetting to utilize wall space, even outside. Add shelves for plants and lights, hang wall plaques for extra organization, and use windows as personal shelves. That way you can enjoy it without feeling claustrophobic.

If you have a green thumb and a balcony, chances are you’re growing a small collection of broad beans or coriander. But why stop there? Line window sills with different sized pots, drape rugs over high shelves, and hang spider plants from decorative baskets. Before you know it, your small space will look like an upscale greenhouse.
As a child, there was nothing as dreamy and magical as our fortress of pillows and blankets. A few decades later, the same feeling applies to the balcony. To build a fortress for adults, clear out some sod, add a soft, weatherproof blanket, and top it off with whatever pillows you can find.
In cases where space is limited, it may not be possible to set up a chat with the device. Instead, try to organize everything into one view, that way you can still have a chat over a glass of Merlot while enjoying the natural beauty of the sunset.
In the perfect life, we’d all be in a private cabana by the pool. But since we have to wait for our next free time, you can use our outdoor space as well. For the same luxurious cabana-like charm, opt for a huge day or long suite (yes, even if it takes up the entire commercial space of your balcony).
The Best Outdoor Furniture For Small Spaces
No space for a table? Don’t worry. Build your own breakfast bar out of plywood or buy a pre-made table. Add some bistro stools and you have a little place to enjoy your coffee while browsing social media.
Models have a wonderful ability to make everything seem louder, bigger, and more important. If you have room for some furniture, try jazzing up the rest of the room with different patterns like ikat chair cushions, floral rugs, and striped throw pillows. It can be a little overwhelming at first, but once you find the right balance playing the samples, everything will fall into place.
Decorating small spaces can be challenging, especially when it comes to finding the right furniture. If you like DIY projects, try building custom furniture that fits your space. Folding furniture is an ideal solution because you can remove it if necessary, freeing up more space. (Don’t want to build something from scratch? Don’t worry, you can easily pick and install it yourself.)
Lighting is important if you intend to use the balcony outside working hours. Instead of relying on strong overhead or recessed lighting, create subdued lighting with lanterns, candles (faux or real), and spotlights. If you ask us, it’s the perfect atmosphere for a date night.
